In 1967, Toyota established its first forklift dealership and sold its first forklift in the U.S. Over the years, Toyota has continued to evolve its lift truck product line. In 1990, Toyota started producing lift trucks in Columbus, Indiana at Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (TIEM). Leveraging the company's deep automotive roots, Toyota has introduced numerous design and technological advancements.[3]
