== Corvette model years ==

Howdy, and thank you for diving in to clean up the Corvette article. It is something I've been wanting to do myself ro a long time, but have never found time. If you would allow me, I'd like to make an observation: by placing all the model year info under the "history section", fully 3/4 or more of the article is in one subsection (history) Furthermore, even stuff that isn't history, like the current production model, is under history. My opinion is that the history section could live on its own and the model year sections should be up a level as they were before. I believe this is also consistent with most wikipedia auto articles, and actually, with most wikipedia articles in general. Also, if you didn't see it, I started a discussion about infobox usage: [[Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Automobiles#Infobox_usage_.28esp_dates.29]] - I would love to hear your opinion! == Cosworth Vega merger ==

I'm on your side for this discussion but may I make some suggestions:
#hold off on major edits to both articles. it is really hard to have a discussion when the articles are in constant change. Deleting the aluminium engine section radically changes the Cosworth article. Better to wait until the end of the discussion.
#don't edit your own comments in the discussion. It is really hard to follow a conversation where one side is changing. Better to leave it as an audit trail. If you made a mistake then add an amendment in a new paragraph ''after'' it.
#please, oh please use the 'preview' button. Whenever I look at the history of the discussion I find your name 10 times within a few minutes - most of them just tweaking a few sentences. Look above to see how many other people have made the same request.

Bob,

I suggest that you copy the Vega article into your userspace, then make as many edits as you like. Go nuts. No comments required, you can just change this as your heart desires. Then, when you feel the page is up to your standards and you are ready to post ALL your changes into [[Chevrolet Vega]], you can invite the interested parties over to your userspace and have them review your proposed changes. We can suggest edits. When everyone is happy, we post the modified article back up as the main page.

This way you could make all the changes you wanted without frustrating other editors by your machine-gun-style editing. We would be likely to end up with an article we could all agree on, and no one would get blocked.

Please consider this as an option.
