Valiveru is an agricultural village of 6,000 people in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Location and surroundings
Valiveru is located at 16°07′15″N 80°21′10″E / 16.1208°N 80.3527°E. It belongs to the Vemuru assembly constituency and Bapatla parliament constituency. It is in Tsundur mandal.
It is located 9 km from Tenali, 6 km from Tsundur mandal headquarters, and 22km from district headquarters. The nearest railway stations are Tsundur and Tenali. Buses run from Tenali and there are auto rickshaws running until late at night. The nearest police stations are Tsundur and Tenali.

History

Major events
- Dr. Y. S. Rajashekar Reddy visited in 2000 for the inauguration of the milk center and gave a political speech as Opposition Leader.
- A new water tank was inaugurated in 2008.
- On March 7th 2009, Pedda Gudi reopened after being rebuilt.
- Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy visited in October 2011 as part of Odarpu Yatra and inaugurated 4 YSR statues.
Religion
Most of the villagers are Hindu and belong to Reddy's caste.[citation needed] There are also Muslims and Christians.
Ganesh Chaturthi is the major festival, involving the cooperation of all the people in the village.

Economy
The main occupation of villagers is farming and cultivation. Paddy, lemon, maize, and bananas are grown for sale in the markets of Tenali and Guntur. Rice is also exported to other Indian states. Most of the village youth are educated.[citation needed]

- Emani Vari Sita Rama Kalyana Mandapam built with villager cooperation and maintained by Emani surname families.
- Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank, established in the late 1990s
- A continuous water supply to the houses in the village for the past 30 years, a programme begun by village leader Tamma Seshireddy.
- A milk center, popularly called Pala Kendram, which fetch milk from the village and ships it to Sangam Dairy and hotels for the past 30 years.
- A TV room in the center of the village, adjacent to the milk center.
Education and hospitality
- St Anne's English Medium Missionary School
- It is maintained and operated by the Sisters of Bangalore from past 25 years and it is from LKG to SSC. It is affiliated to ap state govt. Hundreds of students passed out from this school and well settled in the society. Main objective of the school is to promote a quality education to rural people in surrounding villages.
- Govt primary schools
- There are three govt Primary schools in the village from class 1 to 6 which is maintained by the state govt.
- Sai Master Tution
- Sai master is well known maths teacher working in ZPH and st.anne's school. This tution maintained by him is well disciplined with set of rules. Many students come here for doubts in Maths and other subjects. It is located adjacent to Post Office.
- Prasad Master Tution
- Prasad Master is also a well known teacher in the village working in govt primary school. Students having doubts in Physics and also other group subjects come here to clarify there doubts. It is located near to Tungabadra River Canal.
- Madhu Master Tution
- It is als a well reputed tution in the village where most of the students of primary classes come here because of the well care taken by the management.
- Anitha Health center**
- It is a super specialized hospital maintained by the sister's of Banglore. Main objective of the hospital is to provide a quality treatment to the people in the village and also for the surrounding village people at low price.
- Govt health institutions**
- There is a govt health care center maintained by the state govt providing treatment to the poor people for free of cost.
- Govt Veterinary Hospital**
- As most of the people in the village mainly depend on buffaloes and cows for milk this hospital is playing a key role by educating the people of seasonal diseases and proper vaccinations to be taken at right time.
Some of the notable personalities of the village
- Tamma Seshireddy
- A great person and leader who have done several programs and services for the sake of people in village. As a president of village he started 24 hrs water supply in the village in 1980's by building a water tank. He also contributed a lot for the sake of village development.
- Gade Sivarama Krishna Reddy (babu)
- Congress party Leader and mandal congress president.He elected as a ZPTC member for Tsundur mandal for 2 times continuously. As a ZPTC member he have initiated and done several welfare programmes in the mandal and village. As a loyalist to YSR he resigned to his ZPTC post and joined YSR Congress Party.
- Aramalla Koti Reddy
- He is the first one who have done B.A degree in the village in 1950's and later on he is recognized as B.A Koti Reddy.
- Konda Prasad Reddy
- Done B.tech in Civil and worked in a construction company and later on started his own constructions nameed SP Constructions well known company in Hyd.
