I meant to thank you for this edit [1]. I'd missed that. I don't see BLP problems but an IP removed the material again and brought it to WP:BLPN. I think the IP and the main editor involved don't understand our policies here, eg the edit summary "Even if such nonsense should really be mentioned in a "book" published by Oxford University Press, it would rather appear appropriate to protest against such a publication than to quote it on Wikipedia." Original research???

Look, I fail to understand what is original in these sentences:

Boko Haram's attacks often do not discriminate between soldiers and ordinary people and this has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent people. The Muslim code of conduct, on the contrary, doesn't permit "indiscriminate killing" even during a battle and it's considered unjust to take up arms against the "women and children, the old and the injured" in Islam.

In the "Islamic tradition of warfare" suicide bombing is not justified as the Quran clearly states: "Do not kill yourselves; for surely God has been merciful to you." To avoid this explicit text, many terrorist organisations have, in the past two decades, started using the term martyr. Boko Haram appears to have a similar strategy. It has indulged in suicide bombing and has later called its militants martyrs.

Boko Haram's staunch opposition to unislamic education also run contrary to the Islamic principles which insist on seeking knowledge.
