Nowhatta (Hindi: नौहट्टा) or Nohata is a town of historical importance situated at a distance of 5 km from Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir. Nowhatta is situated on the banks of Jhelum River. Nowhatta is famous because of Historical Mosque known as Jamma Masjid.

Geography

Nohata is located at 34°06′N 74°49′E / 34.10°N 74.81°E / 34.10; 74.81.[1] It has an average elevation of 1,568 metres (5,144 feet).
