Why is it transliterated "sarv-e abarqu" when the city is (correctly) spelt [[Abarkuh]]? The Persian Wikipedia spells it ابرکوه (abarkuh); q and k are different letters in Persian (ک and ق/غ respectively). |

Why is it transliterated "sarv-e abarqu" when the city is (correctly) spelt Abarkuh? The Persian Wikipedia spells it ابرکوه (abarkuh); q and k are different letters in Persian (ک and ق/غ respectively). Is it some traditional English spelling, imported decades ago?
