Veneration

Isn't iconolatry the worship of icons? When the article says it is the veneration of icons, does this mean venerating the one depicted or the icon itself? I think the language should be clarified. 68.192.134.169 (talk) 22:08, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
