Rachel Burgin is a Florida Republican politician who serves as the Representative from District 56 in the House of Representatives of the U.S. state of Florida. The district includes parts of Tampa, Riverview, and several other cities in Hillsborough County. She was elected in November 2008 with 59% of the vote, defeating Lewis Laricchia.[1] She replaced former Representative Trey Traviesa, for whom she worked as a legislative aide.[2]
Burgin was born in Brandon, Florida [1] and raised in Plant City, Florida, and is the third of seven children. She was born on July 23, 1982. [2] She is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. [3]
