Broadway railway station was a railway station that served the town of Broadway in Worcestershire, England. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1904 and closed to passengers in 1968. Today only the platform edgings remain with the track long gone.

(There was another Broadway opened by the GWR, in Dorset, but renamed Broadwey for a while, then Upwey)[1]

Future

The Glos-Warks Steam Railway (GWSR) is currently planning to re-open the section towards the site of Broadway station around 2015, and is currently rebuilding the station itself.[citation needed]

However the old original station site has been demolished so the GWSR are building a new one as it is reopening the line between Broadway and Honeybourne where it would connect with Network Rail's Cotswold Line.

The section between the station site itself and Toddington has re-opened as far as the site of Laverton halt, however the station is still being reconstructed so it is expected to re-open around 2015.[citation needed]
