Nasser Fakouhi (born 1956 in Tehran) (in persian ناصر فکوهی) is an Iranian anthropologist, writer and translator.
Nasser Fakouhi was born on 1956 to a middleclass family in Tehran, Iran. Professional publicist, writer and translator, he is an associate professor of anthropology of Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tehran and the president of a scientific and multidisciplinary website called Anthropology and Culture ( www.anthropology.ir). He’s also a member of International Association of Sociology (ISA) and International Society of Iranian Studies (ISIS). [1]

Ramin Jahanbegloo, Iranian intellectual and philosopher classified Fakouhi, in a paper published by ::::: with some other figures such as J. Tabatabaii, B. Ahmadi, F.Sadeghi among what he called “dialogical intellectuals” on contemporary Iran. [3]
The primarily field of interest of Fakouhi is the social pathology of contemporary iran and especially the problems concerning the ethnic, communitarian and local identies in their relations with the global level.
Presently he’s conducting a large project of oral and documented project over the Modern Iran Cultural history [4]
