João Pedro Ferreira Vilela (born 9 September 1985 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Tractor Sazi F.C. in Iran, as an attacking midfielder.
Club career
A youth product of hometown's S.L. Benfica, joining the club at the age of seven, Vilela was promoted to the main squad in 2004–05, but only appeared in preseason for the club, joining Gil Vicente F.C. on loan in January 2006. With the Barcelos side now in the second level, the move was made permanent in the summer, and Vilela amassed 72 league appearances in three full seasons, netting ten times. In 2009, he moved to another side in the category, C.D. Fátima, returning to Gil Vicente in the following year, and contributing with three goals in 25 games (15 starts) in his second season as the team returned to the top flight after five years.
