A winged unicorn or alicorn is a fictional equine with a set of wings and a horn.
The term alicorn, which describes the theoretical substance that a unicorn's horn is made from, has also been used as a name for winged unicorns.[citation needed] A Pegacorn or a Unisus is a hybrid between a Pegasus and a Unicorn.
Pegacorns have been popularized as toys, crafts and characters of the animated shows like Sailor Moon and My Little Pony. They also are in some pages in a book called The Secret History of Unicorns. Pegasus (sometimes known as Helios) from Sailor Moon Supers is Rini's imaginary friend. Princess Cadence from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is the only pegacorn to sing in addition to talking.
