world-wide supplier of French fries to McDonalds?

My recollection is that Simplot's use of frozen potatoes came along just in time to allow the company to bid to supply an upstart company run by Ray Kroc, McDonalds. In the early 1950s, before it became clear how big McDonalds would be, Simplot cut a contract to be the exclusive, world-wide supplier of French fries to McDonalds. Certainly that should be noted, if accurate. Corroboration? Edarrell 05:15, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
