I am Mailer Diablo, and have been editing Wikipedia since November 2004. I am just like any other contributor here, so please feel free to scrutinize or improve upon my work wherever possible.
My primary goal here is to help build and maintain this encyclopedia, one that ideally should have the reliability and quality comparable to a printed version while keeping it free. In short, a neutral and unbiased compilation of previously written, verifiable facts.
Additionally, it should be run by a civil and cohesive community to make the collaborative editing experience open and pleasant to all. We should not accept anything less that would compromise the credibility of the encyclopedia as a whole, its existence and pose a threat to free knowledge.
I am more than happy to help out others, in particular newcomers, who may have queries on the workings of Wikipedia. Feel free to leave a message and I will respond as soon as I can.

If for some reason you need wiki-credentials : I am an administrator since March 2005, OTRS volunteer since September 2008 and OTRS admin since December 2011, received the responsibilities of Oversight and Checkuser in February 2009 and January 2010 respectively, and assisted ArbCom as a clerk from April 2009 until I was appointed as an arbitrator to serve between January 2010 and December 2011.
