VAD is a TLA that can mean one of the following:

  • Variable Air Duct is an automobile technology. An engine equipped with a VAD intake has a low-restriction secondary intake before the air filter that opens at high RPM to allow more air to enter. Mazda uses this technology on the Mazda6 engine.
  • Value Added Dealer
  • Value Added Distributor
  • Value Added Developer
