VAD is a TLA that can mean one of the following:
- Variable Air Duct is an automobile technology. An engine equipped with a VAD intake has a low-restriction secondary intake before the air filter that opens at high RPM to allow more air to enter. Mazda uses this technology on the Mazda6 engine.
- Ventricular Assist Device, a piece of medical machinery.
- Vincristine-Adriamycin-Dexamethasone, a Chemotherapy regimen used for multiple myeloma.
- Voice Activity Detection is used in speech encoding software to determine if the voice being encoded is human speech or background noise.
