Amongst The Pigeons (born Charlie Anthony Thompson (CAT)) is a British producer of electrodance music based in Brighton, England.

He has released his own music and also remixes other artists. Contributions with other artists to date include Frank Turner, Beans On Toast and Chris T-T.

There has also been a number of Amongst The Pigeons remixes made for artists such as The Agitator, Justice Force 5, Anna Madeline, Oxygen Thief & Polly Scattergood.

Recorded Music

The first ATP release was a limited-edition EP called Wings Wings: Beat; (2004) the small run of copies sold out fairly quickly.

The début album Music to brush your teeth to sold poorly with one reviewer commenting on its limited appeal: "on the back of this album its hard to say that they will acquire the support of anymore disciples, other than deck-twiddlers and electro-bounding adolescents 6/10" and another commenting on it's lack of variety: "the album’s more repeated, nondescript parts could have been given the chop. 2.5/5"[1][2]

Prior to the release of the debut album, ATP was responsible for a number of 'missing' posters, such as one would find when people lose their cats. But these posters were part of the advertising campaign for the album. They appeared on streets in Brighton.

The 2010 follow-up EP Repeat to fade continued this trend, gaining some coverage in on-line music press.[3]

Another EP called 'Flat on Me back' was also released in the summer of 2010 which was made whilst recovering from a major back operation.

Amongst The Pigeons recorded the second full length album throughout 2011 with the working title of ATPLP2.

New song titles were announced on the internet and included "FutureDeadRockStars", "Throwing Nightmares", "The Man Who Smiles When Things Go Wrong" and "OWLS".[4]

"Get Amongst It" was eventually released in April 2012. The album received mixed reviews. [5]

ATP has said that they are currently working on new material which will be released before the end of 2012.[6]

Live

In Autumn of 2010, Amongst The Pigeons started playing live and was invited to play The Great Escape stage at the annual Brighton Live festival.[7]

Since then Amongst The Pigeons has played at a number of UK festivals including: The Glastonbury Festival, The Great Escape, Secret Garden Party, Blissfields and Southsea Fest.
