Michelle Richmond is an American novelist and essayist.
Richmond's first book, the story collection The Girl in the Fall-Away Dress,[1] won the Associated Writing Programs Award for Short Fiction in 2000 and was published by University of Massachusetts Press in 2001. Her second novel, The Year of Fog, published by Delacorte in 2007, was a New York Times best seller [2].
