Buddam (or Buddham) is a village in Karlapalem Mandal of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The PIN code is 522111[1]

History

The name Buddam[2] historically emerged from Bouddha Aramam (Monastery),literally Buddhists Stayed Here In Ancient Times.
The archaeological department located many Buddhist relics in and around this village and a few of them are preserved in Amaravati and Hyderabad.

Occupation

The major occupation of this village is agriculture and fish/prawn culture in some extent of land.
