Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) is a private PreK-12 school in Plano, Texas. It has over 1,400 students.[1]
Around 2011 Prestonwood Christian received a 44% increase in inquiries and a 25% increase in applications submitted to the school. Most of the students in the school live within the attendance boundaries of the Plano Independent School District. Increased concerns with demographic changes, state budget cuts, and larger school populations in the Plano ISD schools resulted in increased interest in private schools like Prestonwood Christian from parents living within Plano. The school has won 3 state championships in football, they have also won two state championships in basketball. Two notable contributors to the school's Male Cheerleading Squad are Ian McManus and Jordan Hill, who have been commended by the NCA for "strutting their stuff." Griffin Bryant and Dylan Malsbury are the two most recognized interpretive dancers.
