Telesma is a Baltimore, Maryland based musical group playing in the psychedelic rock, world music and trance music genres. A "telesma" is either a talisman (a magical charm) or the energy with which a talisman is charged. Founded in 2002, the band performs at festivals and other venues across the country, mostly in the Eastern half of the United States. They use costumes, body-paint, elaborate light-shows and projections for visual effect. Telesma performances often combine music with live art and belly dancing. Their music includes diverse world music, electronic instruments and influences.
