Which part of the government rejected the Legal and General and Allied London Properties proposal? Mr. Jones 16:08, 13 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I believe it was deputy prime minister John Prescott. He believed that there were already too many shopping facilities in the local area (Readings' Oracle etc.). I'm not certain though, and I haven't been able to verify this so I didn't include it.
