Brittany Lynne Hargest (born August 2, 1988 in Durham, North Carolina) is a Contemporary Christian singer and dancer best known for being a member of the Christian/pop group Jump5, which also featured her older brother Brandon Hargest.[1]

Personal life

She grew up in the Nashville suburb of Franklin, Tennessee to Greg Hargest and Robin Hargest. She is a Methodist Christian.

Career

When she was six years old, she landed a part in A Country Christmas at the theme park Opryland USA.

At the age of nine, Brittany auditioned for Jump5 in an open casting call held by the mother of Libby Hodges. She, her brother, Libby Hodges, Lesley Moore, and Chris Fedun were chosen and they began their career in 1999.

She co-wrote "Feels Like Falling" from Jump5's 2004 release Dreaming in Color and several for their holiday release, Rock This Christmas. She also co-wrote three songs on the Jump5 album Hello & Goodbye. They disbanded on December 16, 2007 after being together for over 9 years.

She and her brother Brandon Hargest started an independent indie/alternative rock brother-sister duo named "guest." in late 2007, shortly after Jump5 disbanded. Their debut release Perfect EP was made available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital music sites in October 2008. Their full-length record titled Change of Scenery came out on September 7, 2010 digitally and on December 18, 2010 in CD form. They went on tour with 7eventh Time Down in December 2010 for the "Rock Before Christmas" tour.

In February 2011, Brittany signed a solo record deal with SoulStride Records. As a result, "guest." went on hiatus. She released her first single "Love All the Way" on July 26, 2011, and her debut album of the same title was released on September 27, 2011. She toured through the fall with different acts including Rapture Ruckus and DecembeRadio. Her second single "Miracle" was released in February 2012 and her third single "Put It All Together" was released in July 2012. A music video for Put It All Together was released on October 3, 2012..
