Frahm began to collect art for his family’s foundation in Copenhagen and then, in the late 90's, went on to specialise in contemporary art at Christie's before setting up offices in London and Basel to build art collections.[3][4]

Frahm is known as a leading patron and collector of both young and established artists from around the world and for publicly supporting the work of Chinese contemporary artist, Ai Weiwei.[5][6]

In June 2006 The Hospital in London, owned by Microsoft's Paul Allen, hosted an exhibition from Frahm's collection of young artists from Los Angeles.

Frahm has provided insight into the arts market and to major events in the global arts calendar to the likes of Bloomberg,[7] CNN[8] and Sky News.[9]

In September 2012 Frahm and Frank Cohen announced that together they will open a non-profit art institution in London called The Dairy Art Centre.[10]
