"Give Me Love"
Song

"Give Me Love" is a song by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. It was released as the sixth and final single from his debut studio album + on 21 November 2012. The song was written by Sheeran, Jake Gosling and Chris Leonard. The single has thus far peaked at number 18 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was used in the episode 14 ("Dangerous Liaisons") of season 3 of The CW series The Vampire Diaries and was used in the episode 5660 of series Home and Away.

Music video

A music video to accompany the release of "Give Me Love" was first released onto YouTube on 9 November 2012, at a total length of four minutes and twenty-six seconds.[1] The video stars Australian actress Isabel Lucas. The video deals with the idea of cupid. Cupid (Lucas) is seen watching over couples, she is then seen using her bow and arrows to ignite peoples passion for each other. So after watching many human intimate displays through her work, cupid becomes overwhelmed with the need to find someone of her own to love and for them to love her in return. The end of the video echoes the beginning, a cop is seen going into a crime scene which turns out to be cupid's lair. It is revealed that she stabbed herself with her own arrow and is discovered dead, the cop leans in for a closer look and supposedly his instant attraction to her brings her back to life.

Live performance

On 11 November 2012, Sheeran performed the song on The X Factor results show.
