Thanks for joining!

Thanks for joining and just know that a lot of the things that need to be done on the task force are routine things (not necessarily exciting things). It also requires time; as you can tell it requires time that I personally don't have. I'm not that active on the task force, or any Wikiproject for that matter, for that reason. I notice that the key to being "successful" on Wikipedia is to pace yourself and to not fool yourself about when you can edit. Of course some people choose to go all the way, however that is the exception and not the rule. So just choose the method of editing that fits your style and don't try to squeeze yourself into some pre-prescribed role. Hope that helps! :) Lighthead þ 23:44, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There was one. It's actually the reason I created the task force. I'm trying to remember... oh, yeah. But that's what I mean when I say routine. Routine because first and foremost nobody has done any of it, and also routine because it doesn't really have anything to do with adding "content" to cable tv shows. What needs to be done is to create an article like this: 2012-2013 United States cable television schedule. There's a network television version which is: 2012-2013 United States network television schedule. The main goal, in my opinion, should be to have similar articles for cable television that already exist for network television. From what I understand, I might be wrong, but cable television faces stiff competition from network television stations in other countries (I don't really know about non-English speaking countries), so it might not be necessary to cover other countries (somebody let me know if I'm wrong). If you ask me, that article, the one that I think should be created, is the starting point. I think that everything else should fall into place after that; theoretically. But if you want to work on that on your spare time, you may. It's of course not an obligation, as you mentioned. Like I mentioned before, if I had no time before, I have even less time now! You can start by creating the article off-line, as it were. In other words, you could create a subpage of your user page for creating this article (this would be the off-line version). I could check in on this subpage from time to time and help you edit it, to get it ready. And then when we get it ready, it's ready to go on-line; in other words it's ready to be an article. If you don't understand what I'm saying then just ask me (I'm assuming you're a relatively new editor on Wikipedia; that's just my assumption). All this completely at your own time, though. And like I said I will help, especially if you get the project off the ground. If this is too much for you then don't worry about it. But my goal is that at least I or somebody would do it. And at the very least, this should be mentioned at the task force page if it isn't already. Sorry for the lengthy response, and let me know if you have any questions. :) Lighthead þ 05:50, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And actually, if you feel that this is too much for you to handle, then I could create this project as a subpage on my userpage and you can help me edit it from time to time if you want. Let me know what works for you. Lighthead þ 05:55, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
