China’s president, Liu Shaoqi, said to Mao Zedong,the founder of Republic of China, that “history will record the role you and I played in the starvation of so many people, and the cannibalism will also be memorialized!”one of the greatest causes of the Chinese famine was due to economic mismanagement.During this period almost million people died of hunger where some people ate dead bodies other others even killed their friends. Mao almost made every aspect of the citizens life under his control which caused social pressure and strengthen the role of the party.while millions of people were dying cadres enjoyed where all luxury food was brought to them.some of the survivors recalled"We were swollen with starvation, while the cadres were swollen with overeating.”although Moa mobilized peasants to work on farms and there were millions of private farms where later turned to big communes since private land was seen as against the communism idea about 40 percent of all housing was destroyed.
