*Nee, dat weet je niet: what you're doing is reporting news items, not writing an article based on references that have stood the test of time. What you're doing is activism. [[User:Drmies|Drmies]] ([[User talk:Drmies|talk]]) 03:49, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Welcome!

Speech

It is not a full political speech, but selected portions of a speech, properly referenced. I don't see what the problem is (unless it's something personal).--Gilabrand (talk) 14:15, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!

I am doing my graduate study on Trabzon and those disappearing languages. How can I contact you to ask some more questions on your father and Caykara?

Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erols87 (talkcontribs) 11:17, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid my father doesn't speak the language himself. My grandparents speak Romeyka, they are from Taşören (Zeleka), just east of Caykara village. There are many other families from this area (from Of down to Uzungol) who speak it. Most children who grow up in the mountain villages alongside this plateau still learn it. We are now live in the Netherlands, but my grandparents mostly live in Trabzon and Taşören. My father did do some research on our family history if you are interested in it I could ask him to contact you, but he might not have more information about the language and culture than what is available in current literature.NeoRetro (talk) 12:14, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Turks in the Netherlands

Hi NeoRetro! Would you be willing to write the Turks in the Netherlands article in the dutch language?Thetruthonly (talk) 20:00, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The file above is updated with Turkey and other countries. Thanks for your reminder earlier. HУтaяtalk2mecontribs 18:34, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vernacular architecture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Maasai (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Drmies (talk) 20:06, 5 June 2013 (UTC) It takes a while for the western media to pick it up, or for local media to write reports, which are difficult to find. As you see it all gets sources eventually, but media restrictions have not yet been lifted, and some media have been misleading their viewers. So even a source isn't worth everything here. Off course, you are right, i'll be more carefull.NeoRetro (talk) 23:01, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
