Tomales High School is located in the town of Tomales, California. It is the comprehensive high school for the Shoreline Unified School District. It serves the rural communities stretching from the southern communities of Point Reyes Station and Inverness running north past the fishing port of Bodega Bay to the mouth of the Russian River, a distance of nearly 50 miles (80 km) and widens 13 miles (21 km) east from the west coast. Tomales High School draws its students from approximately 450 square miles (1,200 km2). The school opened in 1912; the current campus was built in 1969 and remodeled in 2011.
Tomales High School has a current student population of about 200 students. The student body is 49% White, 49% Hispanic, and 2% African-American/Other. The faculty includes 20 certificated employees made up of 15 full-time teachers, 4 part-time teachers and one counselor. The school also has one full-time special day class teacher, a resource specialist, and one English Language Learner staff member. Student to teacher ratio averages 15:1.
Athletics
Football
The Braves have been dominant over the past 20 years making the NCS playoffs 20 out of 21 seasons since 1991. The Braves have won 5 NCS titles (1983,1995,1998,2001,2002) and have been section runner up 5 times (1992,2004,2006,2010,2011). Currently the Braves have won 6 straight NCL II league titles (2006-2011) and have gone 36-0-1 in that stretch. Head Coach Leon Feliciano was named the 2011 North Coast Section Honor Coach. Since 1996 he has gone 118-56-4.

Howard Wilson has served as head coach since 2011-12, after winning 3 JV league titles (2008,2010,2011)
Girls
Chris Kenyon serves as head coach, and has turned the underachieving program into a championship program. The girls won the 2011 NCS Division 6 title, the first girls sport ever at THS to win an NCS title.
