Blue Rubicon is a privately owned communications consultancy which was established in 1999 by Fraser Hardie (former head of communications at Powergen)[1] and Chris Jones (former home news editor at Channel 4).[2]
The consultancy offers strategic thinking in corporate, financial, brand and behaviour change communications. It prides itself on creating campaigns which protect and grow the reputation of clients and which mobilise stakeholder sentiment. It is known for campaigns to help turnaround the reputations of some of the world’s major blue chip corporations and brands in the UK and worldwide.
Now 12 years old, the agency has grown to over 130 people.
Blue Rubicon and its campaigns have been shortlisted for 147 awards, winning 50 times. It has been short-listed for agency awards 33 times, winning PR Week Consultancy of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2012 and CIPR Consultancy of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The company was named Best Company for Training & Development by the Sunday Times[3][4]
In 2011, Blue Rubicon was awarded a place in Brand Republic’s Hall of Fame in recognition of the defining role the agency has played in the last 10 years.
