FUNDESEM Business School is an international business school located in the city of Alicante (in the Mediterranean coast of Spain) that in 2010 taught more than 6,000 students in areas such as Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Management and Banking. It belongs to the FUNDESEM foundation, which comprises more than 200 companies and institutions.[1][2]

It is a member of the 'Latin American Council of Business Schools' CLADEA and the 'European Foundation for Management Development' EFMD.

Programs

FUNDESEM (as it is often referred to) offers several undergraduate and graduate masters degree programs together with a number of European and non-European business schools. One of most prestigious is the International MBA Double Degree Program taught entirely in English. At least half of its master programs ranked among the best in the country in 2010 according to Spanish daily El Mundo (Spain).[3] In the same year, the school itself ranked as a "Good Business School" and was one of Spain's top 20 according to the Eduniversal World Ranking.[4]

Its graduate programs include:

  • Master in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Executive MBA
  • International MBA (IMBA)[5]
  • Master in Human Resources Management
  • Master in International Business
  • Master in Financial Management
  • Master in Commercial Management and Marketing

There are also a number of non-graduate management training and in-company programs.

The School has signed a number of student exchange programs with international educational institutions such as the University of Birmingham in the UK and the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Management in the USA.[6]

Alumni

FUNDESEM Business School has an Alumni Foundation (FUNDESEM Alumni) with over 35,000 former students as well as a growing body of international and exchange students from countries all over the world[7]..

Latest Developments

Early in 2011 it was reported that the School would launch its own publishing house under its commercial name. As of today two titles have been published in Spanish.[8] A new string of grants financed by industry were created in mid-2011 for business courses students.[9]
