'''Sadiq Ali''' was a freedom fighter and a leader of Indian National Congress.


Born in 1910 in [[Udaipur, Rajasthan|Udaipur]] in [[Rajasthan]] he left home at young age to pursue studies at [[Allahabad University]] After studies he joined freedom struggle and was jailed many times.
He quit the NC because of differences over the undemocratic functioning of the party, as well as differences over the inclusion of Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari into the working committee.


He was governor of [[Maharashtra]] from 1977-80 and governor of [[Tamil Nadu]] from 1980-82.
He joined the People's Democratic Party (PDP)and currently holds the position of the state secretary.


Born in 1949 in Hassanabad, [[Srinagar]] in [[Kashmir]] he left home at young age to pursue studies at [[Aligarh University]] After studies he joined [[Sheikh Abdullah]] and pursued a fruitful career as a leader of the National Conference.
