Stephen Lemont Allen (born May 29, 1974), primarily known by his stage name Silver Surfer, is an American record producer, rapper, record executive, and actor. He is the founder and current CEO of Flamingo Park Music Group and a co-owner and artist of Goon City Records and 118th & Blanding Records, as well as a member of a production group Beastmode Beatmakerz. He also produced albums for and overseeing the careers of many rappers signed to record labels like FFJB Music, GrownFolk, Something Epic, Madhouse, 50/50 Music and Rebel Hearted Entertainment, such as Mr. Al Pete, Alias and his brother Venny Dapadon. As a producer he is credited as a key figure in the popularization of South East Street Hop, a style of rap music characterized as synthesizer-based with slow basslines, heavy beats and samples.
Silver Surfer began his career in music as a member of the Deadly Knights and he later found fame with the influential In 2001, he left the Deadly Knights to found his own label, Flamingo Park Music Group, producing a compilation album, Spaceflight, in 2002. Three years later, silver surfer found fame with sampling king Tough Junkie. Then he releasing his long-awaited solo debut album titled Masterpiece Theater, in 2009.
Surfer is known for his production ability, and for helping many underground rappers become popular, such as Picasso Witapen, Stillwater, L.Blaze, Franchise, Venny Dapadon, Azia Marie, Mr. Al Pete and Dr. Sam Beckett, producing beats for them. He is focused on producing for other artists and rarely producing for himself. Now in 2013, he's currently working on a new highly anticipated album "My Dark Incredible Nightmare" due out in november. One of the most influental and essential hip hop albums of all time next to Michael Jackson's 1982 classic Thriller.
