Tyler Ray Ward is an American independent singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his mix of covers and original music.[1][2][3] Tyler's first original release, Hello. Love. Heartbreak. (September 2012) went to #1 across 15 worldwide iTunes singer/songwriter charts.[4]

Career

Before Tyler Ward had an interest in music, he was focused on athletics.[8] After graduating from high school, Tyler enrolled at the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School to begin a college football career.[9] Tyler Ward was not able to adjust to the different lifestyle and decided to move on with his life.[10] After leaving the Air Force Academy, Ward was accepted into the University of Northern Colorado and started to write songs while seeking a journalism degree. He has opened shows for The Jonas Brothers and The Fray.[11] Through his music video career, Tyler has performed and recorded most of his early song and current ones in his parents' basement, which he later turned into a proper recording space.

Tyler Ward was once number five on Billboard's Top 100 Uncharted List and was also ranked on Billboard's Social 50 Chart for several weeks.[12][13][14]

The Tyler Ward Studio was founded in 2009 and currently operates out of Denver, Colorado, Boulder, Colorado and Nashville, Tennessee. The Studio is independently owned.

In 2011, Ward performed a duet with The Band Perry, celebrating the Academy of Country Music Awards and went on a tour with Boyce Avenue.[15][16][17] Later that year, Ward performed with Christina Grimmie live on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Their performance aired nationwide on October 10, 2011.[18]

On the 25th of September 2012, Ward released half of his new upcoming official album titled Hello. Love. Heartbreak. on iTunes.[19] After 12 hours it had already reached #1 in the Singer-Songwriter charts in the USA.[20] The Album features 6 new songs while the other half will also feature 6 new songs and will be released in November 2013.

In early January of 2013, Tyler Ward confirmed that he had signed with a label of Sony Music Entertainment; Sony Music Germany and soon after stated he will be working on another album specifically for Germany and the label. Ward's debut album Honestly with record label Sony Music Germany is set to be released on the 18th of October in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and will feature his upcoming single and original Falling featuring Alex G. Ward has also set dates for another European tour starting in Germany to promote the album.
