Icon of Coil is a Norwegian futurepop/electronic body music group. The band was established as a solo project in 1997 by Andy LaPlegua who was joined by former Sector 9 (now Moonitor) bandmate Sebastian Komor to perform live. After several public performances and the release of "Shallow Nation", IoC's first album, Komor joined the band full-time. Christian Lund also joined the line-up in 2000.
