Rummy ([ ரம்மி ] Error: {{Lang-xx}}: text has italic markup (help)) is an upcoming Indian Tamil romantic thriller film co-produced and directed by debutant Balakrishnan. It features Vijay Sethupathi, Gayathrie, Inigo Prabhakaran and Aishwarya in the lead roles. Actress Remya Nambeesan, who co-starred with Vijay Sethupathi in Pizza was supposed to sing a song.[3] The film is set to be shot around Pudhukottai, Karaikudi and Thanjavur.[4]

Production
In December 2012, Vijay Sethupathi signed up a project for debutant K. Balakrishnan who impressed him with his script.[5] The film is said to be set in the 1980s.[6] According to sources, Rummy is a dark romantic thriller.[citation needed] The first look was released on 4 October 2013.[7] While it was reported that actress Remya Nambeesan, a trained classical singer, would be making her Tamil singing debut with this film, the song apparently doesn't appear in the soundtrack.[8][9] Rummy has completed the mandatory Censor formality and it has been cleared with U certificate.[10]

The soundtrack album was composed by D. Imman[12] to the lyrics penned by Yugabharathi. The audio rights was bought by Sony Music.[13][14] The album was released by Kamal Haasan.[15]
