Leap Frog Films is an Australian film distributor. The company was founded by David Doepel and Barbara Connell.

History

Leap Frog Films was founded in March 2013. The company releases films targeted at people aged 55-plus, as well as family-friendly films. [1]

The company was founded after Doepel acquired the Spanish animated film Wrinkles at Cannes Film Festival in 2012. [2] Following this he acquired The Sea and the Nigerian-British film Half of a Yellow Sun at Toronto International Film Festival. Based on the 2006 novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Half of a Yellow Sun will release in Australia in March 2014. [3]
