Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC), formerly known as IKRAM College, was established in 1998 following the privatization of the Research and Training Institute of Public Works Department, Malaysia (IKRAM). On 23 February 2012, IKRAM Education SDN BHD was invited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia to apply for the establishment of a private university to be known as The Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur. The request is pending.
It is located on the border of Kajang and Serdang. KLIUC is guided by their motto, "For Knowledge, For Humanity".[citation needed] The president of KLIUC is Prof. Dr. Zulkifli Bin Abd. Hamid.
Campus
KLIUC's 100-acre (0.40 km2) campus is in the vicinity of Kajang town, which is located between Kuala Lumpur, the commercial capital of Malaysia, and Putrajaya, the administrative capital. The campus is accessible via the North-South Highway (or Seremban Highway) and is a 35-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre. Students can also make their way to KLIUC via KTM Komuter service to Serdang Station and LRT to Sungai Besi Station, then get on to KLIUC feeder bus service. From November 2012 KLIUC gained the full status of a university and is now known as Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL).
Academics
All the programmes from KLIUC are offered locally, where the certificate of the programmes is issued by KLIUC itself.
KLIUC's civil engineering programme is recognised by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM), while its architecture programme is recognised by the Board of Architects, Malaysia (BAM)[citation needed]

KLIUC
Standing tall before the world
With dishonor with education
Surely we’ll move with money
KLIUC lets charge our students
KLIUC for money for cash
Chorus
Reach out for the stars
Though it's not our destination
So let's forget our dreams
KLIUC don't care
KLIUC dares you
To go beyond our dreams
Success will be pricey forever
Repeat song once and chorus twenty-eight times
Success will be ours forever
