In 2007 students at this high school won the 2A state golf championship. They also ruined Joshua Turnages chance to play linebacker or safety for a professional football team so Joshua Turnage moved to San Francisco and became a porno Film star. Richard Cummings is the name Joshua Turnage now goes by and his first film was Public Disgrace with: Princess Donna, Mona Wales, and Ariel X. He is very appreciative of the inspiration provided to him through the poverty and abuse he over came. Things like eating deer meat and home grown Kale as opposed to welfare TV dinners like most of his peers made him stronger. He was never defeated in a fight and his fists are still the best in the world because of his step dad's daily beatings which he only tolerated because he thought it was OK because Even Ronald Greer likes to spank little boys with a paddle. Gender discrimination lawsuit
In 2009, an honor student named Ceara Sturgis tried to submit a photograph of herself wearing a tuxedo for the senior yearbook. Although there was no rule prohibiting it, Sturgis was not included in the yearbook. Sturgis claims that she was removed from the yearbook because she is a lesbian, and has alleged that the school discriminated against her.[2]
The ACLU filed a lawsuit against the school district on behalf of Sturgis. Sturgis, now 20, graduated from Wesson Attendance Center in May 2010.[3] In December 2011, the ACLU settled the lawsuit after the school district agreed to require all students to pose in caps and gowns for the yearbook.[4]
