:Thank you—your response was extremely decent. I wish I could say I have had the same graciousness as you, when I've behaved like a dolt. Alas, you're a bigger man than me.

:Cheers,

Well done

Just wanted to say well done at Death of Kurt Cobain. I've had the page on watch for awhile, mostly to watch out for the "he was murdered" inserts, you've tightened up the prose and such nicely.

Thank you kind anonymous soul :)

Editing a Title for Disambiguation Open

Hi, JacobiJonesJr,

I'm trying to edit a page for disambiguation, and I think it would be helpful to edit the original title of one of the articles to include a parenthetical afterwords. In specific, I'm referring to Love in a Maze, which should say "Love in a Maze (Play)" in contrast to Love in a Maze (ballad).

However, I don't seem to have the privilege of editing titles.

Can someone help please?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jchow00 (talkcontribs) 22:45, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

MDA Open

Tell me how my post was vandalism. It's entirely fact. An inconvenient truth for MDA, but it's still the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AmericanPatriot3,056,589 (talkcontribs) 12:19, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tone

I'm saying the following not to pick a fight, but to help you out: Do you have any idea how condescending you sound? Because your tone when addressing others borders on the insulting—and in the long run, it will hurt you.

As an example, you wrote the following on my user page:

[T]he purpose of Wikipedia is so I can go and find out more about [the subject of the entry] if I needed to. [. . .]It's good that you added those sources, but if you're going to, you need to add them properly. [. . .] Take your time, you are part of a project here-and to call my actions churlish- you need to realize that when you say that to someone who is just trying to improve wp, you may in fact cause them to become rude; people don't appreciate unnecessary comments like that.If you remember you are interacting with other human beings, you may suddenly find that editing, and life, have become easier for you.

Being addressed as if I were five years old—as you do in this 'graph—is flat-out insulting. Doubly so, considering that I've been editing since 2006, while from your user page, I gather you've been on WP since 2013, is it?

So I suggest you take your own advice and "remember you are interacting with other human beings"—other human beings who might have a lot more experience, knowledge and/or brains than you do. Because your patronizing, condescending tone implies that the person you are addressing is an inexperienced ignoramus with mush for brains.

You'll find once you get out in the world that very few people take being spoken to that way passively and without complaint. On the contrary, speaking and/or writing to people with that tone guarantees they'll end up despising you.

I repeat, I'm not here trying to pick a fight—I'm telling this to you to help you out. Please take it in that spirit.

Good luck.
