Not much happens in the world of New Providence, or its schools. NPHS is merely a place for young aspiring minds to develop.

== School Funding ==

New Providence High School tries to ensure that they get the best materials and resources for their students and faculty. This is exactly why nearly 40% of all the schools [[money]] goes toward the music department. A few years back, a special room for chorus was built. Not only is the room massive, but it is also one of the very few rooms with air conditioning. As everyone knows, it is impossible to sing in 90 degree heat, so the room must absolutely be cool. However, it is much easier to complete Calculus exams in this type of weather. Brief periods of passing out gives your brain the much needed rest during the examination, and it makes certain that you will complete every question with the knowledge you answered it correctly.

The NPHS media center wants to give its students the most advanced databases on the internet to help them with their research papers. This is exactly why they spend over $10,000 in subscriptions to certain sites. These databases are so vast, that it is virtually impossible to find what you are looking for.

Recently a proposal was made in the PTA and Board of Ed. (Education) to use some of the new federal money to remove [[asbestos]] from the schools (NPHS, NPMS, and elementary schools). However, due to the extravagently high demand for more baseball fields, the proposal will fade.
