Hi, Y5nthon5a. At this AfD I didn't mean to give the impression I thought you were "stubborn" or any other reflection on your character, I was only upset with what I thought was a needless AfD. Because of my experience and interest in Korea, I just knew off-hand that this was an extremely notable series, and I was able to find sourcing for it fairly quickly. This is not always the case with very notable Japanese and Korean subjects-- the sourcing is out there-- in Japan or Korea-- but difficult for us to find it unless we are in the country at the time. This is partly what is irritating about statements implying that American pop-culture subjects don't need sourcing because "everyone" knows they're notable. "Everyone" in Korea knows that Hwang Jin-i was notable. But the sourcing is to improve the article. An article's purpose, after all, is not to assert the notability of its subject, but to provide information on that subject. If you want my advice-- and I know you haven't asked for it-- before putting an article up for AfD, I would try to contact people with interest and knowledge in that subject. Drop a not at the relevant project page, or at the talk pages of people who have already edited the article. My next step would be to tag the article-- I find this an ugly and defacing way to get attention to an article, but at least it is not a threat of deletion. When you do put an article up for deletion, though, expect editors who have interest in that area to be upset if other paths have not been followed first. Also, as a Wiki-editor, I would recommend working on an article-- either improving one you see is deficient, or starting one up. This will help you know what is truly "unsourcable" (and worthy of deletion), and what is simply "unsourced"-- the sources are out there, someone needs to add them. Try improving the article before you tag it or AfD it, and fewer feathers will be ruffled. Happy editing, and cheers. :No problem. The "bad grammar" problem, obviously, was because whoever started the article did not speak English as a first language. Simple copy-edit is appropriate in a case like that. About your hip hop CDs-- I know nothing about the subject, but what I would do is find a "reliable source" that covers the topic. There must be good magazines, journals, websites, whatever, which cover the subject. Look for reviews or information there. Don't be afraid of using non-web sources either, in the case of books, magazines, journals, newspapers and the like. Also, check the Google news links (be sure to click "All dates"). Good luck! :You should still do that, though. I had one case of a page on a band that had been deleted 3 times without informing the user involved. When he created it a fourth time, i had a word with him, and it turned out the article was perfectly wiki-worthy, he just didn't know how to use references or what the band notability requirements were. So it's always good to Assume Good Faith and contact them anyway to see if it's salvageable. This isn't a criticism, btw! Can i recommend you get [[Wikipedia:Twinkle]]; it's a javascript tool that speeds the process up a heck of a lot. You pick one of the common CSD tags from a dropdown menu, it slaps it on the article and automatically informs the article creator. When you select a particular one, it will automatically tag the page, add it to your watchlist and then send a message to the page creator notifying them of the speedy deletion tag. XFD is to do with nominating things for Articles for Deletion/MfD and so on (i'd recommend double-checking if you use that, it has a tendency to choke up the links) and ARV is for userpages and nominates the page for admin attention (if you want them blocked, mainly).
