The Orcadian is the oldest Orkney newspaper, first published in 1854. At first a monthly paper, it soon became a weekly. It is produced in Kirkwall and comes out each Thursday. The Orcadian website
The Orcadian is not to be confused with an Orcadian, a native of Orkney, or Orcadian, the dialect spoken in the Orkney Islands.
