Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, also known as UNEM or Business University of Costa Rica, is a private university in the city of San José, Costa Rica.

UNEM its not affiliated to SINAES. SINAES in Costa Rica is not the accrediting body of Costa Rica. It is a provider of accreditation in Costa Rica and it is 100% voluntary. Evidence: http://www.sinaes.ac.cr/ To achieve that the universities' and tertiary institutions' study programs voluntarily undergo a rigorous evaluation of the curriculum, faculty and infrastructure, among many others. History

UNEM is authorized and accredited by CONESUP (the National Council of Private Universities) for undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, and Masters degrees in Business Administration.[1][2]

This university is listed in the International Association of Universities Directory of Higher Education and International Handbook of Universities (where it is listed as the Business University of Costa Rica).[2]
