Corton is a coastal village in Suffolk, located a few miles to the north of Lowestoft. Recent sea defences to protect the crumbling cliffs at Broadland Sands Holiday Park have cut a two mile stretch of beach off from the sea. Corton Beach was popular as a naturist enclave.

The Village has been home to a Peacock since 2003. He hops around the back gardens eating fruit and seeds and occasionally leaving a feather. Mostly he hangs around Corton School, and you can hear him calling from there in the evenings. He has poor road sense, but survived a brush with a car in 2005.
