Edit-a-thon at the Univ. of Chicago!

Hey there! The Regenstein Library at the University of Chicago is hosting an edit-a-thon to celebrate Women's History Month on Saturday, March 28th from 10 AM to 4 PM. Coffee and lunch is provided for free, and we'll be focusing on building a few biographical and organizational articles. Hey Mareklug-- but I wanted to personally let you know that we're moving this event to a Saturday date in April, so you might be able to attend after all! Between April 4th and 25th, does either date work well for you? Thanks, I, JethroBT ^{drop me a line} 18:09, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

On Saturday the 4th I am in Cincinnati straight from the Carmel, Indiana class, on Saturday 11th I may yet again on my way to Cincinnati as I have to be further down south the following Monday, and on Saturday the 25th the Main Chicago Public Library (Harold Washington) has me signed up staffing A Small Garlic Press table in the lobby for the Annual Poetry Day all day long. Would the confirmed participants be willing to do an April Sunday? Or, heck, if you are moving it outside the Women's History month anyway, what about Saturday, May the 2nd? It would be least likely to conflict for me. But. If you must do it on a Saturday in April, Saturday the18th is least conflicting for me, and I am most likely to be able to be there, when that date rolls into the present. Thanks! They just let me know that May could work for them as well, so I'm keeping that possibility open. Speaking of the 18th, the Pritzker actually has an event on April 18th that I'll be sending invites for pretty soon. Two Chicago edit-a-thons this April!

Hey folks! We've got two exciting edit-a-thons happening in Chicago during the third week of April:

• Regenstein Library at the University of Chicago edit-a-thon on Wednesday, April 15th from 4 PM - 8 PM
• Pritzker Military Museum & Library edit-a-thon on Saturday, April 18th from 10 AM - 3:30 PM

Spotkania Wikipedystów w Chicago

Dzięki za powiadomienie i ciepłe słowa. Spotkania takie już się odbywały, powiadamiał mnie o nich inny polsko-języczny user, Daniel Pogorzelski (nie pamiętam jego nicka), ale jakoś nigdy się do Muzeum Pritzkera nie wybrałem, jako że dość mało edytuję w en-wiki i nie bardzo wiem o czym miałbym z nimi rozmawiać. Jest tu wprawdzie ktoś, kto dość regularnie zamawia u mnie tłumaczenia haseł z en-wiki na pl-wiki (głównie dotyczy to szkół i parków chicagowskich), ale z nim jakoś nie mam ochoty się spotykać, bo to osobnik wyjątkowo namolny. W dodatku jestem mało mobilny. Po przejściu na emeryturę mój samochód zaanektowała córka i jak mi się uda wyrwać go ze dwa razy w tygodniu na godzinę, to dobrze. Mam natomiast inną propozycję: spotkajmy się we dwóch, pogadajmy, może coś nam się mądrego narodzi. No, to wspaniale. Ja się zapisałem do stałej pomocy u Pritzkera, a ponieważ my będziemy w styczności, to i Pan będzie au courant w temacie co tam się wykluwa wikipedystycznie. A poza tym służę własnym pojazdem, jak tylko zrobię modicum porządku we wnętrzu. ;) Zo rychłego zobaczenia. Pozdrawiam cieplutko w środku nocy. -̴Mareklug ^talk 05:43, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
