History - the early version of this template created by [[User:Bob1960evens]] had the terminus of the Canal at Paulton Basin, which was followed by Timsbury Basin. In 2010 I changed the order to place the terminus at Timsbury, followed by Paulton. In 2012 the order was reversed by [[User:Elijahg]]. I have now (2015) switched them again so that Timsbury Basin is the terminus. Evidence for the terminus being Timsbury Basin can be found in the form of maps on the Somerset Coal Canal society's website [[http://www.coalcanal.org/maps/m09.htm]], [[http://www.coalcanal.org/restoration.php]] and also in a sign on a nearby footpath, which is pictured here [[http://captainahabswaterytales.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/paulton-and-timsbury-basins-somerset.html]]. Feel free to dispute this, but please provide evidence! |

I have also added the dry dock in Paulton Basin, however due to the limitations of the template pictograms, this has been done as a "branch" containing Paulton Basin and the dry dock. If anyone can think of a better way of representing the true layout, feel free to change it. |

Timsbury and Paulton Basins
History - the early version of this template created by User:Bob1960evens had the terminus of the Canal at Paulton Basin, which was followed by Timsbury Basin. In 2010 I changed the order to place the terminus at Timsbury, followed by Paulton. In 2012 the order was reversed by User:Elijahg. I have now (2015) switched them again so that Timsbury Basin is the terminus. Evidence for the terminus being Timsbury Basin can be found in the form of maps on the Somerset Coal Canal society's website [[1]], [[2]] and also in a sign on a nearby footpath, which is pictured here [[3]].
