Reception

Glamsham: 'The king of romantic numbers Sonu Nigam proves yet again why he is the best in business with 'Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin', a love ballad that serenades and caresses the senses and lingers on even after it ends. Though there is once again a distinct Rahman touch, especially in the tune and the absolutely mesmerizing crescendo, but yet again Ajay-Atul delight with their usage of philharmonic orchestra touches and traditional instruments like 'Jaltarang' which sets up a serenely romantic atmosphere around the composition and makes the song worth its weight in gold.'[1]

Bollywood Hungama: 'Sonu Niigaam, who is always a delight to listen to, especially when it comes to soulful romantic tracks, strikes again with 'Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin'. Just the kind of song that was pretty much required to give a sense of completeness to Agneepath, this one also boasts of some poetic writing by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Even though it isn't catchy enough to become the next big chartbuster, 'Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin' still has good enough holding power to keep you engaged while it plays.'[2]

Rediff: 'The album enters a dramatic mood shift when Sonu Nigam hits a silvery note to muse over the philosophy of life and its many challenges in the sentimental poetry and easygoing pace of Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin. Nicely done, Ajay-Atul.'[3]

Bollyspice: 'Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin is in the same line as O Saiyaan, that is, it is vocally potent with minimal music, is sung to perfection by Sonu Nigam. Nigam who was once synonymous with 90 percent of Bollywood’s soundtracks rarely graces us with his presence nowadays. If by chance he does, then the songs are either mediocre (Allah Maaf Kare – Desi Boyz), plain stupid (Tees Maar Khan – Title Track and My Heart is Beating – Thank You) or an unattainable odd-come-embarrassing mash-up/remix/cover of an English number with little to no appeal for Indian audiences. Therefore, listening to him in full form, rendering a magnificently composed number such as this is like wining the musical lottery for his fans and music enthusiasts alike.' Bollyspice described the song as a 'real class act'.[4]

Planet Bollywood: 'Sonu Nigam is still the master and he proves it yet again in "Abhi Mujhe Mein Kahin", a six-minute composition where the musical arrangements are more or less same as in O Saiyyan but the result is even better this time and certainly will strike an instant chord with the music enthusiasts resulting in high 'repeat' value. The instrumental Jugalbandi of Sitar, Piano and Violin in both the interludes create a peaceful ambiance where vocals and lyrics dominate proceedings. While one waits to see it rise in popularity in days to come, one can be sure that this is one song that has the potential to enjoy a long shelf life.'[5]

BollywoodLife: '...there’s Sonu Nigam’s Abhi mujh mein kahin. It’s a lovely composition and Sonu, as expected, gives it his all.'[6]

Koimoi: 'Abhi mujh mein kahi is a soothing romantic track sung by Sonu Nigam. The song is mellow, gentle, romantic and contemplative. Nigam’s vocal dexterity has been very successful in conveying the intensity of the song. The violin also has been marvelously used in the song.'[7]
