Songtrust, a division of Downtown Music LLC, is a digital rights management solution empowering songwriters and artists to manage their music publishing and related rights.[1] Songtrust was co-founded by Justin Kalifowitz, CEO of Downtown Music Publishing.

Overview

Songtrust streamlines what has historically been a complex process of registering and protecting song copyrights, collecting royalties, and maximizing licensing opportunities.[2] Songtrust collects music publishing royalties in the United States from performance rights organisations such as ASCAP, Broadcast Music, Inc., SESAC, and SOCAN and also enables songwriters to collect royalties from synchronisation rights.[3]

In June 2015 Songtrust launched the worlds first Music Publishing App[4].
