Flag Accuracy

With the exception of Belarus, all of the flags are current. Maybe all flags should be changed to reflect the flags as they were in 1992.

I agree. Schnabeltier Angriff 22:36, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the merge proposal

Why should the two pages be merged, when the Unified Team also competed at the Winter Olympics? Andjam 02:25, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Second that; I see no reason to merge the two---it's plainly illogical. Perhaps we should just remove the merge notice. There should, however, be a separate article on the EUN's participation at Albertville, similar to the EUN at Barcelona one. --Wernher 01:27, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The pages shouldn't be merged. It's weird. There just needs to be an article written about the Unified Team in the Winter Olympics. etc. etc. --Anonymous
I agree. Our standard convention for NOC pages in Wikipedia would lead to three pages: Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics (done), Unified Team at the 1992 Winter Olympics (TBD) — both of which would provide specific sport results, medal winner, highlights, etc. — and the summary page of Unified Team at the Olympics (I propose we rename this page), which would describe the history of the team, provide the useful list of unified nations in each games, etc. Can we simply remove the merge label? I agree with you but for the renaming of this article; the affected CIS countries also participated as the Unified Team in at least one non-Olympic event in 1992, namely the Biathlon World Championships competitions for Men and Women, and so the Unified Team was not only associated with the Olympics. --Wernher 10:01, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, ok. We won't rename this page, but perhaps the "Unifed Team at the Olympics" page (which is still needed, for template reasons) would redirect here. Andrwsc 22:02, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've created Unified Team at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Andrwsc 00:18, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks; I've now edited the present article to point to the one you created and the Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Also, for the time being, I redirected the Unified Team at the Olympics page to the present article. If this has any bad effects, feel free to mention them and propose fixes. --Wernher 02:20, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anthem?

Out of curiosity, what anthem was played when a Unified Team athlete won a gold medal? --Jfruh (talk) 00:06, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
