Arthur Ssegwanyi (born March 12, 1988) is a Ugandan Chess International Master[1].

He is the top-rated player in Eastern Africa and only the 3rd International Master to emerge from the region.

In 2015 he qualified to play in the 2015 Chess World Cup in Baku, Arzebaijan after winning the Zone 4.2 Individual Chess Championship with a score of 7.5/9[2].He was subsequently awarded the IM title for the same achievement.
